Theodore Roosevelt High School is seeking a dynamic and industry-experienced educator to instruct our Marketing Management Career Technical Education (CTE) program. This instructor will prepare students for careers in marketing, business, entrepreneurship, and related fields through engaging, hands-on learning experiences aligned to industry standards.
This position instructs students in key marketing functions, including finance, distribution and logistics, product/service management, promotion, selling, and marketing-information management. Students also study foundational areas such as economics, communication and interpersonal skills, business administration, entrepreneurship, and professional development.
Job responsibilities include facilitating experiential learning opportunities aligned to curriculum standards; marketing and recruiting for the program; coordinating worksite and facility visits; documenting work-based learning hours; maintaining an active advisory committee; and serving as advisor for the program’s CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization), including student leadership development and competitive events participation.
Certificate/License Requirements:
- Candidates must hold one of the following:
- A valid State of Ohio teaching license or certificate appropriate for the assignment
- A Career Technical Education (CTE) License (Grades 7–12)
- OR a valid Ohio 7–12 teaching license and/or
- Five or more years of related industry experience, and/or
- Education in a related field
- Willingness to obtain the appropriate Career Technical provisional licensure (guidance on the process will be provided)
