Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems accurately to process customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and guiding them through their purchase decisions
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement and product knowledge
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members during shifts as needed
- Support store operations through effective communication with team members and management
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
