Role Description The Girls Lacrosse Head Coach is a contract, on-site role located in Chagrin Falls, OH. This position is responsible for planning and leading daily practices, teaching fundamental and advanced lacrosse skills, and preparing the team for competition. The coach will develop game strategies, manage lineups, and provide real-time coaching and feedback during games. Day-to-day tasks include designing training sessions, overseeing player conditioning and safety, monitoring academic and behavioral expectations, and fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development. The Head Coach will also coordinate with assistant coaches, communicate regularly with families and school staff, and ensure compliance with school, district, and athletic association policies.
Qualifications
- Strong lacrosse knowledge and experience, including Lacrosse and Coaching skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective practice plans, with Training and Curriculum Development skills.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with student-athletes, families, and school personnel.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school or comparable level preferred.
- Ability to create an inclusive, supportive team environment that promotes safety, respect, and sportsmanship.
- Knowledge of relevant athletic regulations, eligibility requirements, and safety protocols.
- Availability for after-school practices, games, and occasional weekend events.
- Appropriate coaching certifications and background checks as required by the district and state.
