What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at Kensington Additive?

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to run full operational leadership at its Buffalo, NY facility. This is a critical on-site position responsible for production, planning, sourcing, logistics, people management, EHS and continuous improvement across the plant.

The Plant Manager will:

• Oversee daily production requirements, planning and workflow

• Optimise processes across sourcing, planning, and logistics to improve quality, cost and output

• Lead and develop supervisors, sourcing, planning, maintenance and production teams

• Ensure OSHA and environmental compliance, driving safety and LTA reduction

• Manage budgets, cost controls, and standard costing for new processes

• Work closely with engineering on updates, NCRs and change requests

• Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with leadership to align plant performance with North American business strategy

You should bring:

• 4-year degree (Engineering/Technical preferred)

• 5–7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of machine shop, fabrication, and assembly operations

• Ability to read/interpret mechanical drawings

• Experience with CNC machining or CAM programming

• MRP/ERP experience (Infor LN, SAP, Axapta, etc.)

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a machine shop environment and support off-shift work if needed
