Kenox Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Scientist to join our growing team and lead analytical development activities for complex pharmaceutical drug products.
About the Job
Kenox Pharmaceuticals is a specialist contract development, manufacturing, and testing organization serving biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners. We provide end-to-end development services for inhalation, intranasal, and ophthalmic drug delivery products—from early feasibility and formulation design through process optimization, clinical manufacturing and comprehensive analytical testing.
In this role, you will support innovative drug product programs by developing robust analytical methods, executing laboratory studies, interpreting scientific data, and collaborating with formulation, manufacturing, quality, and client teams.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development, optimization, qualification, and validation of analytical methods for drug substance, excipients and drug products
• Plan and execute laboratory studies with a strong focus on data quality, scientific integrity, and regulatory compliance
• Interpret, evaluate, and report analytical data
• Troubleshoot analytical methods, instruments, and laboratory processes
• Prepare technical protocols, reports, and regulatory-supporting documentation
• Oversee laboratory activities and ensure documentation complies with GMP requirements
• Collaborate with formulation, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional project teams
• Support regulatory submissions and participate in client communications
• Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory practices, procedures, and workflows
• Manage multiple projects while meeting established timelines and deliverables
Experience and Qualifications
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience
• Strong experience in analytical method development, optimization, qualification, and validation
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical drug product development in a regulated laboratory environment
• Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, MS, UV-Vis, dissolution, and particle-size analysis
• Strong analytical, statistical evaluation, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice principles and their application to analytical testing, method validation, and batch-release support
• Experience with orally inhaled and nasal drug products and/or ophthalmic formulations is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize activities, and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience preparing technical reports, protocols, and regulatory documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients
