As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work hand-in-hand with our teaching staff to create joyful experiences and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. This is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to help little learners grow with confidence and curiosity.
What You’ll Do:

Foster a safe, nurturing space where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged

Assist with daily routines and individual care in a patient and respectful manner

Help plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that spark creativity and learning

Support diapering, toilet training, and restroom routines with kindness and professionalism

Assist in preparing and serving snacks and meals

Supervise and engage with children during special events and field trips

Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development

Must be at least 18 years old (16-17 years old permitted with completion of DPI course)

Must meet Wisconsin state licensing requirements for Assistant Teacher (minimum certification)

Ability to provide proof of current CPR and First Aid certification

Previous experience working with children

Willingness to learn and follow state child care licensing regulations and procedures for Group Day Care Centers

Ability to work cooperatively with children, parents, staff, and community organizations

Demonstrated joy and satisfaction in working with children

Ability to work effectively under general supervision
