Roles & Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities

• Proactive engagement with guests to encourage participation in planned events and/or activities on-site
• Follow all procedures and protocols as presented during Dutch Wonderland training and written guidelines
• Execute all activities as designed by Dutch Wonderland
• Follow property policies and procedures and appropriately refer guest concerns to leadership when necessary.
• Proactively assist in the upkeep and maintenance of a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Perform cleaning duties, which includes using approved cleaning chemicals
• All other duties assigned by leadership
  
  

Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, coworkers, and leadership. Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Education And Experience

• No education requirements for this position
• Some level of customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Previous work in youth-centric programs and/ or companies helpful but not required.
  
  

Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age and meet all applicable Pennsylvania Child Labor Act requirements.
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to attend required training prior to beginning assigned duties.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shift
• Must meet grooming and personal hygiene standards and wear required clothing layers to support the cleanliness and maintenance of shared costumes or clothing.
• Must be playful, outgoing, friendly, and convey a positive, guest-centric attitude
• Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
• Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
• Ability to safely move and handle supplies, equipment, and activity materials as required for assigned duties.
  
  

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to outdoor and indoor areas of the park
• Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
• Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments
