Purpose:  The Project Engineer is responsible for providing the Project Managers and field supervision with administrative support and coordinating procedures related to all phases of work.

 

Essential Duties include the following:

  • Complies with company safety policy; participates in field safety audits and files documentation
  • Attends project turnover and kickoff meetings as required
  • Contributes to job set up, commodity material buyouts, major material orders, subcontract PO’s, releasing, tracking and PSO; verifies scope and critical time requirements
  • Verifies specifications and submittal compliance; provides PO numbers and submits Material Orders to vendors
  • Assists Accounts Payable in the close out and invoicing of POs
  • Monitors material returns and tracks credit memos
  • Manages all submittal packages, logs status and follows up until all items are approved and materials released
  • Updates and maintains required logs; RFIs, COs, Submittals, O&M, Materials etc.
  • Manages document control in COINS for all assigned projects
  • Maintains and audits job files ensuring continuity
  • Manages and opens any necessary job permits
  • Assists Billing Coordinators to ensure monthly billings are on time and complete
  • Provides Project Manager with any required reports
  • Responsible for compliance with all Kenny SOPs
  • Ensures all closeout documentation is compliant and complete
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Project Manager i.e. reports to general contractors, relevant scheduling, RFI research and issuance, and project activity coordination
Qualifications:

 

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • 1 year of prior experience in construction management project support or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office and Bluebeam
  • Proficient with construction accounting system
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and be able to plan, coordinate on multiple projects
  • Effectively communicates both verbally and through written format
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain rapport with customers, vendors and employees

 

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature. Performance of the job may require sitting, handling items and working with fingers to type, complete paperwork, and handle other administrative functions. Occasionally, may be asked to walk, stand, talk and hear others in conversation by phone or in person.

 

Work Environment:  Well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned modern office setting with adequate ventilation.

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
