What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiver position at Kennie's Market's, Inc.?
The Receiver is responsible for performing efficient and accurate checking of all grocery vendor deliveries; maintaining a neat, clean and organized warehouse; and performing other functions in an efficient manner consistent with Kennie's policies. The Receiver is also responsible for ensuring customers are provided with top quality products and excellent customer service.

- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree(GED). Some experience with computerized receiving. Must be detailed oriented.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions for equipment, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively to our customers and employees.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for checking in grocery products from all vendors.
- Responsible for entering correct information on the FM unit or computer, as necessary.
- Responsible for seeing that vendors enter and leave by the appointed door.
- Ensuring all invoices and door logs are turned in to the office daily.
- Keeps unloading area clean and free from clutter.
- Responsible for the consistent, proper preventative maintenance of all company equipment in his/her area.
- Cooperates with fellow department employees and with other departments when inter-departmental or store wide promotions warrant.
- Responsible for obeying all safety standards as outlined by the Kennie's Policies.
- Performs other appropriate duties as directed by the Grocery Manager, Assistant Grocery Manager, Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
