Position Summary
We built DirectBloom so retail florists can order farm-direct —better pricing, fewer hands in the chain. We need someone to build the customer base: prospect, close, onboard, and grow a book of business from our DirectBloom Sales Center in Alsip. If you have proven B2B sales instincts and want to build something from scratch, this role could be for you.
What You'll Do
Customer & Program Strategy
- Prospect retail florists through outbound calls, email, and LinkedIn — build your list and work it every day.
- Lead virtual demos that show the florist exactly how DirectBloom works, what the pricing looks like, and what they stand to gain.
Operational Leadership
- Stay in touch with active customers every week — check in, look for ways to grow what they are buying, and spot anyone going quiet before they are gone.
- Build real relationships with your accounts — the florists who trust you order more, buy more consistently, and refer others.
- Expand account spending over time by helping customers find more of what works for their shop on the platform.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Walk every new customer through the platform until they can place an order on their own and then start growing sales.
- Log every call, email, and customer interaction in the CRM the same day it happens and track your pipeline weekly.
Required
- 4 years of experience in B2B sales.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experienced in how to run a pipeline from first contact to first purchase.
- Intermediate Excel skills; CRM experience required.
- Ability to build rapport fast.
Preferred
- Experience in the floral industry, food service, specialty retail, or perishable goods distribution.
- Background in wholesale, distribution, distribution logistics, or supply chain you understand. how product moves and what buyers care about.

Work Environment
- Onsite in our DirectBloom Sales Office located in Kennicott Alsip, IL
- Minimal travel: occasional customer visits or industry events as needed. Customer-facing work is done by phone and video call.
Salary : $26 - $30
