Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using dental scheduling software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
- Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance verification processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation review.
- Assist with medical billing and coding, including familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, utilizing multi-line phone systems to manage calls effectively.
- Process payments and manage medical collections as needed.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic environment.
- Demonstrate excellent patient service skills to enhance the overall patient experience.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and health information management practices.
