KJ is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team supporting municipal and industrial clients. In this role, you’ll apply your modeling and drafting expertise across water, wastewater, recycled water, and utility infrastructure projects, contributing to both conveyance and process-related designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical drawings and construction plans using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
Perform advanced drafting and design tasks under general direction, ensuring alignment with company, client, and industry standards
Coordinate across disciplines on mid- to large-scale, complex projects to support delivery of quality construction documents within scope, schedule, and budget
Communicate effectively with supervisors, senior designers, and engineers on task execution and progress
Identify design conflicts and proactively collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve them
Serve as a CAD Lead on small- to mid-sized projects
Qualifications:
7 years of experience producing structural drawings (or a combination of structural and architectural)
Associate’s degree is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
Proficiency in Revit, ProjectWise, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office; MicroStation and OpenPlant a plus
Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings
Effective communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach to teamwork
Adaptable to evolving project needs and delivery methods
Strong writing, editing, and research skills

Hourly pay rate for this position is anticipated to be $40 to $60 and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
