What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gallery and Framing Associate position at Kennedy Gallery and Custom Framing?
Kennedy Gallery and Custom Framing is a busy Gallery and Custom Frame Shop in downtown Portsmouth. We are looking for an energetic individual who loves working with people and an eye for color and design.
Talking with customers about our artists and helping them choose the right piece of art for their home, office or gift.
Helping customers choose mats and frames for their artwork. The ability to communicate confidently with the customer and help achieve the right design for them.
Working with numbers to calculate framing costs. The ability to use a tape measure and measure down to 1/16”.
Fitting the art into its frame. Handling and cutting glass. Using tools to finish the framing and have the art ready to hang.
Great eye for creating displays and cleaning and keeping shop organized.
Basic computer skills. POS system, inventory, light paperwork, website updates
Lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
