What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Supervisor position at Kennedy Day School Franciscan Children’s?
This on-campus position provides direct supervision and evaluation of teaching staff members, performs AOC duties as scheduled, and provides administrative support to the behavioral support team. This is a 186-day position.
1.Supervises and evaluates assigned professional staff members.
a.Supervises and evaluates all teaching staff in accordance with KDS and Franciscan Children’s evaluation policy and procedures.
b.Includes incidental feedback (constructive & corrective) during the course of the day.
b.Assigned to the rotation of the AOC schedule (Administrator on Call) in accordance with DESE regulations
3.Compliance with current Massachusetts DESE and Federal regulations.
4.Assists the Executive Director in ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
5.Works with the IEP Coordinator and Educational Trainer to ensure compliance with IEP and evaluation timelines.
6.Assist Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator in maintaining and revising the mentoring/induction program
7.Assists in facilitating the PAC in collaboration with Social Worker
8.Attends team meetings as appropriate.
9.Attends IEP meetings as appropriate.
10.Collaborates on policy development.
11.Works with the curriculum coordinator to ensure proper implementation of the program curriculum.
12.Works with the educational trainer to support orientation of new staff.
13.Monitors student engagement and break data using current data systems.
14.Collaborates and provides input on the KDS quality assurance dashboard.
15.Attends DESE Special Education Meetings.
16.Attends MAAPS meetings
17.Attends/covers for the Executive Director at hospital meetings as needed such as but not limited to; OIC, Quality & Safety, EOC, Data & Privacy and Diversity.
18.Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
