Job Summary:
Kennedy Carpet is looking for skilled and motivated Carpet and Flooring Installers to join our installation team. As a Carpet and flooring Installer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flooring installations in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and takes pride in craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install carpet and other flooring materials according to specifications.
- Remove old flooring when necessary and prepare surfaces for installation.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools such as carpet stretchers, tack strips, knee kickers, and seam rollers.
- Ensure proper alignment, seam sealing, and trimming of carpet to ensure a professional finish.
- Load and unload installation materials and keep the job site clean and safe.
- Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and team members regarding job status and any challenges.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and installation standards.
- Responsible to have your own tools.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in carpet or flooring installation preferred (training may be available for the right candidate).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance and attitude.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays depending on workload.
- Start times vary based on job site location and project schedule.
