This is a full-time Monday through Friday position located in our Augusta location.
Our Sleep Coaches play a crucial role in supporting patients with their CPAP therapy by providing personalized coaching, equipment fitting, and troubleshooting. This role involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Summary of Essential Functions:
- Mask Fitting – Perform custom mask fittings, educate patients on usage and care, and ensure appropriate mask selection using expertise and tools.
- Charting & Records – Maintain accurate patient records and document all interactions and therapy progress in electronic health records (EHR).
- Machine Assessment – Assess and troubleshoot CPAP machines for proper function and resolve technical issues.
- Insurance & Supplies – Understand CPAP-related insurance policies, help patients navigate coverage and claims, and ensure supply eligibility documentation.
- Referral Communication – Communicate clearly with healthcare providers and ensure timely sharing of referral and patient information.
- Therapist Support – Work with respiratory therapists to support patient care and education.
- Walk-In Support – Provide prompt, professional assistance to walk-in patients for inquiries, equipment, and support needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Must have PSGT Sleep Degree or above.
- Experience in healthcare, ideally in sleep medicine or DME.
- Strong CPAP equipment knowledge, including mask fitting and insurance policies.
- Knowledge of EHR systems,
- Clear communication skills,
- Ability for technical troubleshooting.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Lift/move CPAP equipment; stand, sit, walk for long periods.
- Manual dexterity for equipment handling.
- Work in a clinical office with regular patient and staff interaction.
