Kennebec Behavioral Health, established in 1960 to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to Central Maine communities, named one of the Best Places to Work in Maine for the last 5 consecutive years, and recently recognized as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual to fill the Village Clubhouse Director's position. The position is responsible for program development, administration and the overall productivity, supervision and distribution of work to Clubhouse staff to ensure compliance, timeliness and the provision of quality program services. You will be supervising staff who are engaging members in all aspects of the Clubhouse. Connection to this unique community leads to a life of achievement and fulfillment.
What is a Clubhouse? A Clubhouse is more than a social service or employment service. We are a community of people with mental health difficulties working towards a common goal of recovery. Members of the Clubhouse possess valuable talents, strengths and abilities which, when combined, assist in making the Clubhouse come alive. The sense of membership, equality and belonging are at the heart of the Clubhouse model.
Primary job duties:
- Manage the day to day operations of Village Clubhouse in Topsham, ME, using Clubhouse model;
- Provide leadership, direction and supervision of staff in relationship to the mission and goals of the Clubhouse;
- Function as part of the Full Management Team at KBH, the auspice agency of Village Clubhouse;
- Network, coordinate and develop collaborative working relationships with local service providers, local area businesses and hospitals to facilitate referrals and smooth operations of the Village Clubhouse.
Qualifications: Bachelor degree in mental health services or related field. Must have MHRT-C or be eligible to obtain a provisional MHRT-C certification. Preference will be given to individuals who are Certified Employment Specialists. Vocational experience is also preferred. Knowledge of and experience with the Clubhouse model is also preferred. Must possess strong clinical and leadership skills and have the ability to function independently.
