Kenmode Tool and Engineering, Inc., a growing metal stamping company has an immediate opening for a professional Estimation Engineer in our Sales Department. This position is responsible for assisting in the completion of quotes in an effort of having the winning bids.
General responsibilities:
- Generate strip layouts for material usage and for estimating tooling costs.
- Send out for pricing on outside services (plating, deburring, heat treating, etc.).
- Send out for material costs.
- Prepare and update cost worksheets.
- Contact customer for missing information.
- Generate final quotes when needed.
- Research for new suppliers and services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma. Engineering degree or industry experience.
- Previous estimating experience required, preferably in metal stamping.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to produce flat blanks and generate strip layout using AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
- Understand manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Strong math and conceptual skills
