Qualifications
- Valid NJDOE K-12 School Counseling Certificate.
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective counseling methods.
- Ability to maintain a positive planning experience, to assess student needs and to provide appropriate support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administrators and teachers to promote student success.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with high school students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).
