What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook or Sushi Chef position at Kenichi Snowmass?
Kenichi Snowmass is hiring an Line Cook to work the Sauté station or a Sushi Chef to work the Roll station. Experience not required for a candidate willing to learn.
Kenichi Snowmass is a locally owned fine dining Sushi restaurant right at the base of Snowmass Ski Resort. The restaurant is lively and fast paced. We are rarely slow during tourist season.

Day to Day tasks
- Help prep and cook apps/entrees on hot line OR make sushi rolls on the sushi bar
- Maintain a clean and organized station
- Work well with others, our crew is relaxed but hard working
- Hours usually 1:00pm-10:30pm.
Physical Requirements
- Standing/Walking: Frequently stands for long periods (up to 8 hours) on hard surfaces.
- Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and carries up to 40lbs (stock pots, cases of food), occasionally up to 50lbs.
- Handling/Manual Dexterity: Constantly uses hands to chop, slice, and prepare food using knives and machinery.
- Environment: Works in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment with exposure to steam, sharp tools, and cleaning chemicals.

A Note on Pay Rate
This position makes tips from a 2% service charge that is applied to every guests check. This has INCLUDED in the stated hourly pay range. Staff in a similar position last year made on average $7 per hour in tips over the course of the entire year.
The pay structure is $20-$24 per hour depending on experience and the Chef tips.
Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
