Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumbing Installer to join our small team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, primarily water heaters, in a residential setting. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.
We have a contract with a major box store, as well as service work for individual family's or small multi-family units. We're looking to hire individuals that work best as part of a small team- someone that takes pride in their work, has experience with Colorado code, experience installing water heaters and believes honesty is the best policy.
Scope of Work
Primarily water heater installation and simple service work (toilets, sinks, faucets, etc.) position would require installing 1-4 water heaters a day as well as potential for service work. We have a warehouse where we store the majority of the units we install day in and day out, your day would most likely start there, loading up units for the day. When we don't have the units needed for the job they will need to be picked up at the box stores. Your day would start at the shop around 7:30am to get loaded up and expected at the first job around 8am -8:30am.
Pay
Pay will be piece work related as well as a percentage.
All water heaters have a pay per unit installed. Pay varies by specialty units and difficulty.
All service work will be paid out at 25% of gross profit on the job, after cost of parts.
Pay is bi-weekly
Responsibilities
- Install pipes, fixtures, valves, and related components using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform soldering and assembly tasks for pipe connections and fittings as required.
- Conduct remodeling and renovation work involving plumbing systems in existing structures.
- Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large equipment on-site
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout all phases of installation
Experience
- Prior experience in residential plumbing or related field is highly preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards, and building codes
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in residential homes
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during installation processes
