Position Overview
The Outbound Supply Chain Manager reports to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for providing support for international and domestic outbound shipments. This position is responsible for supporting cross functional and administrative activities. Will act as a liaison with freight providers, 3rd party vendors, and Kendra Scott business partners.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Management: (30%)
Acts as the primary point of contact for transportation carriers and 3rd party vendors for outbound channel shipping operations.
Manages day-to-day outbound operations with transportation carriers and 3rd party vendors.
Identifies and suggests vendor performance improvement opportunities based on reporting and operational trends.
Outbound Shipment Management: (20%)
Acts as the primary point of contact between outbound team and Kendra Scott cross-functional partners.
Identifies risks to on-time delivery through daily tracking reports and partners with internal and vendor teams to mitigate risk where possible.
Investigates outbound delivery discrepancies as needed.
Financial and Operational Reporting: (20%)
Creates and oversees maintenance of outbound channel operational and financial reporting.
Creates and maintains vendor scorecard for transportation carriers and 3rd party vendors.
Forecasts quarterly spend for transportation and 3rd party vendors.
Supports development of the annual outbound channel budget.
Management: (20%)
Oversees Outbound Supply Chain Analyst role and responsibilities.
Sets and directs Outbound Supply Chain Analyst priorities and special projects.
Provides development opportunities and performance feedback through weekly touchbases with Outbound Supply Chain Analyst.
Project Management: (10%)
Supports Sr. Supply Chain Manager and cross functional partners on special projects and initiatives as needed.
Supports new category operational and shipping expansion.
Maintains standard operating procedure documentation as needed.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent supply chain industry experience
5 years’ experience in a supply chain management role, preferably in a retail environment
Intermediate skill level in Excel and proficient in other Microsoft applications
Analytical/Strong Attention to detail
Excels in a fast-paced environment
Strong communicator and collaborator
