Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Wayne, IN, for Vegetation Management Crew Members. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing vegetation management tasks such as tree trimming, brush clearing, and debris removal near utility infrastructure. Crew members will operate specialized equipment, ensure compliance with safety standards, follow worksite protocols, and maintain accurate records. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions to support essential utility operations and may include contributing to storm response and restoration efforts.
Qualifications
- Experience with vegetation management tasks such as tree trimming, brush clearing, and debris removal.
- Proficiency in operating specialized equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
- Knowledge of worksite safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and proper equipment usage.
- Ability to work effectively in various outdoor conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with storm response and rapid restoration services is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required.
- Experience or certifications in utility vegetation management or arboriculture are advantageous.
