Receiver - Warehouse Associate

SUMMARY: Receives flowers, verifies type and quantity of flowers matches P.O.’s and ensures quality meets Company standards. Store product in cooler.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Receives and verify flowers meet Company quality standards. 
• Verifies quantities from received product with Way Bills and P.O.’s from Webflowers.
• Receives flowers and verifies that the quality and quantity are acceptable.
• Safely unloads flowers upon arrival of the delivery truck.
• Accurately counts flowers and/or boxes to ensure number matches the invoice.
• Inspects flowers to ensure quality meets Company standards.
• Accurately stocks flowers in the cooler and coordinates with Cooler staff to ensure the product is accounted for and rotated properly.
• Stocks flowers in the cooler based on type of flower and date received.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.

QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to communicate effectively. 
• Ability to work effectively and relate well with others.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Minimum six month manufacturing related experience. High School preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization. Ability to converse in Spanish.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS   

 Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

REASONING ABILITY   

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LINCENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Forklift certification.
