Kendal Floral Supply was established in 1973 by Ken Baca. The business was named after Kenny and his childhood friend and “then partner Randal.” In the beginning Ken made deliveries to florists “selling greens only.” As the business became more successful it continued to expand. Even after the partnership ceased, Ken continued to grow the business and the product line into fresh cut flowers and bouquets.

In 1994, Florexpo LLC, an import company, was founded after Ken met Herbert Jordan on a trip to South America. Florexpo was formed to offer a better way to move product from farms in Colombia to the Western United States. Florexpo is a dominant one-stop alternative for any customer’s fresh-cut flower needs because of variations in color, grade, and packing. Our 23 products translate into over 500 different varieties.

This variety is made possible by our association with over 32 farms in Colombia. All of the farms in Colombia are independent business units totaling over 1,250 acres of plantations in the production stage. Together they produce approximately 600 million stems per year and employ over 10,000 people. They operate under the vision of “Coherent Autonomy” which fosters innovation and creativity, while at the same time, that enables the group to capture synergies and economies of scale. GR Chia coordinates the production efforts and shipments of all 32 farms in Colombia. By importing the flowers from Colombia, “The Company” is able to offer high quality flowers at a low price.

Kendal today operates as an independent business entity with three locations: Carlsbad CA, Gilroy CA, and Canby OR. Kendal Floral focuses on sales and production of flower arrangements for vendors such as Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Kroger, Safeway, and other mass market accounts. Florexpo’s primary business is the importing of flowers and has three locations: Carlsbad CA, Gilroy CA, and Canby OR.

About the Role:

The Processing role is critical to ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of data, documents, or materials within an organization. This position focuses on managing workflows that involve the intake, verification, and organization of information to support operational objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance by following established procedures and protocols. Collaboration with various departments is essential to facilitate smooth processing and timely completion of tasks. Ultimately, this role supports the overall productivity and effectiveness of the organization by ensuring that processing activities are completed accurately and on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with data entry and common office software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling information.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in a related field.
• Experience with specialized processing software or database management systems.
• Previous experience in a processing, administrative, or clerical role.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations or compliance standards relevant to processing tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify incoming data or documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter, update, and maintain information in relevant databases or systems.
• Follow established procedures to process transactions, applications, or materials efficiently.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in processed information.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion of processing tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information throughout the processing cycle.
• Generate reports or summaries as required to support management and operational needs.

Skills:
