What are the responsibilities and job description for the Subsitute Teacher position at Kendal-Crosslands Communities?
The Early Learning Center at Kendal-Crosslands Communities is looking for Substitute Teachers. We are fortunate to be located in the heart of Crosslands Retirement Community. Teachers and children are welcomed into a variety of wonderful intergenerational experiences. This unique setting offers extensive walking trails where teachers and children can immerse themselves in nature for hands on learning. We meet “our grand friends” who live on campus which leads to strong sense of community life. The ELCKCC provides an extensive assortment of learning materials to teachers for the creation of exceptional classrooms and lessons. We are a small center with a capacity of 27; teachers are able to have one on one time with the children, work within a supportive team of dedicated teachers, where you will have an important role in the life of a child!
We are currently seeking substitute teachers for 15 hours per week this fall in our infant, toddler and preschool classrooms. The substitute teacher supports teachers by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. They must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment, and develop positive relationships with children and their parents. The ELCKCC is a play-based program with a focus on social emotional learning as we provide a child-centered environment that is stable, secure, and nurturing.
