Position Summary
The Boiler Operator/Heat Technician operates, monitors, and maintains boiler systems used to heat ISO containers to required specifications. This position ensures safe and efficient boiler performance, conducts routine and preventive maintenance, maintains accurate records, and supports quality and safety standards within the facility.

Qualifications
The Boiler Operator/Heat Technician operates, monitors, and maintains boiler systems used to heat ISO containers to required specifications. This position ensures safe and efficient boiler performance, conducts routine and preventive maintenance, maintains accurate records, and supports quality and safety standards within the facility.
Essential Functions
- Operate boilers and related equipment to heat ISO containers to required temperatures
- Monitor system indicators"such as temperature, pressure, and fuel levels"and adjust gauges and controls to maintain proper and safe boiler operation
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, part replacement, and documentation to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards
- Maintain accurate logs of boiler operations, maintenance activities, and any issues, and report equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisory staff
- Ensure ISO containers are heated uniformly, complete required quality checks, and verify containers meet specifications before dispatch
- Communicate with supervisors, maintenance staff, and team members regarding operational needs, system status, and improvement opportunities
- Provide recommendations to support process improvements and enhance workplace safety

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler systems
- Experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or industrial mechanics preferred
- Ability to read schematics and understand basic hydraulic systems
- Effective communication and customer service skills for working with supervisors and team members
- Field service experience is beneficial
