Operations Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to manage business operations for our behavioral health organization. This role will ensure programs run efficiently, stay compliant, and achieve organizational goals. The Operations Specialist will collaborate with the CEO and Clinical Director, focusing on compliance, staffing, budgeting, and process improvement.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day operations across THI’s programs and sites.
• Develop, update, and enforce policies, procedures, and compliance protocols.
• Partner with the Clinical Director to ensure operations support clinical quality.
• Support CEO in strategic planning, program expansion, and community partnerships.
• Oversee HR operations including hiring, onboarding, training, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with COMAR, CARF, BHA, and Medicaid billing.
• Collaborate with CFO to manage budgets, monitor revenue/cost efficiency, and support billing accuracy.
• Lead process improvement projects to increase staff productivity and organizational accountability.
• Supervise administrative staff and provide operational oversight to program managers.
• Track operational metrics and report performance to CEO.
• Ensure increase in clients and productive

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or related field (required).
• Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related).
• 3–5 years of operations leadership in healthcare, behavioral health, or addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of COMAR regulations, CARF/BHA accreditation, and Medicaid billing.
• Proven skills in staff management, compliance, and financial oversight.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
