Ken McDonald Golf Course is seeking a qualified, Full Time, Course Worker in the Golf Course Maintenance Department.
Purpose:
As a Course Worker, you’ll provide support to the Golf Course Maintenance department. This position is responsible for aiding the Golf Course Superintendent with various golf course maintenance and construction activities. This position assists the Golf Course Superintendent in the successful growth and operations of the company.
Essential Functions:
Course Worker’s assist in the maintenance and construction of new greens, tees, and fairways: activities include, but are not limited to:
Grading and preparing a soil plant bed; laying sod, planting vegetative material, and seeding greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Operating dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
In addition, Course Worker’s perform various (daily) maintenance activities:
· Operating power equipment to mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
· Watering and fertilizing greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
· Trimming trees and pruning shrubbery.
· Cultivating shrubs and flowers.
· Changing cups and tee markers.
· Maintaining accessories and water hazards.
· Preserving and raking bunkers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to follow oral and written directions.
· Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines and company safety policies.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to work well in a team environment.
Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
Ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old.
Ideal candidate will have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (the safe and lawful operation of vehicles is required in this position).
Ideal candidates will have reliable transportation, attendance and punctuality will be critical to success in this role.
Compensation: $15.15-$19 an hour DOE. Benefits include company contribution to Health Benefits. Other benefits include, Vacation/Sick time off, 401K plan.
Candidates must have the ability to work Weekends/Early Morning shifts, they are required.
