Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead daily line operations, ensuring all menu items are prepared, cooked, and presented according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Oversee and assist with food prep, station setup, and service execution to maintain smooth and timely operations.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to line cooks and prep staff, helping develop skills and reinforce kitchen standards.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership to coordinate production and service needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with company, state, and local health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control, including daily product usage tracking, waste reduction, and requisitioning items as needed.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and leftovers.
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed to support the team and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including equipment checks, cleaning, and prep for the following day.

Education/Qualifications/Certifications
- 2 years of culinary experience required; prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant or golf club environment strongly preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Permit.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong teamwork orientation.
Position Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to:
- Read, write, and communicate effectively (English).
- Follow and give verbal and written instructions.
- Visually inspect work areas and monitor staff performance.
- Operate kitchen equipment for several hours at a time.
- Stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry items up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.
- Work in hot, fast-paced environments for extended periods.
Working Conditions
Work hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work primarily occurs in a restaurant kitchen environment with exposure to hot surfaces, open flames, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals. Proper safety practices and personal protective equipment must be used at all times.
