Position Description:
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports the company’s analytics, reporting, and business planning function. This position will support development, implementation and maintenance of company-wide planning and reporting processes and systems. The position requires an ability to efficiently manage company-wide projects, balance multiple priorities, and will be a point of contact between internal stakeholders and external clients. Position ensures the use of business intelligence applications enhance business decision making capabilities.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Maintain current reporting and analytics utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and Excel based tools
- Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting, and Analytic System Maintenance & Development
- Report writing and template development
- Process design and standardization
- Development of reporting dashboards and senior management reporting
- Identify gaps in reporting that will drive business insights and increase profitability
- Maintain and develop field property level benchmarking and monitoring program
- Continue to develop business intelligence capabilities through current tools and processes, in addition to identifying opportunities for future enhancement.
- New Business Development Financial Analysis
- Assist FP&A department in budgeting and forecasting process oversight
- Acts within scope of authority consistent with company and corporate policies
- Assume other special projects as directed
Requirements/Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree required, with finance or accounting related specialty
- Superior skills in Excel and familiarity with use of Power BI and Power Query for financial analysis
- Knowledge of basic accounting functions
- Excel based multi-dimensional planning & reporting system experience a plus
- Project management and system implementation experience a plus
