What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician- FullTime- Memory Care Facility position at Kemper House Strongsville?
Kemper House Strongsville is looking for a caring, patient, hardworking, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician for our Residential Care Facility.
The successful candidate would have a general knowledge of building systems, life safety systems (fire alarm, sprinklers, etc.), plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance needs of a 24-hour facility.
This FULL TIME position includes shared on-call responsibilities in case of emergency or urgent maintenance needs after hours or on weekends.
Under the Direction of the Maintenance Director, main duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning, Preparing, Painting, Repair and Rehab of resident apartments
- General maintenance and care of facility
- Maintenance, cleaning, and repair of floors and carpeting
- Deep cleaning / addressing unclean or soiled areas and/or furniture
- Calling, Scheduling, and Oversight of Contractors as needed
- Implementation of safety procedures
- Keep building in compliance with all State of Ohio, OSHA, and HUD rules and regulations
- Act as a safety supervisor for facility ; ensure continued compliance with all Fire Safety rules and regulations
- Keep record of Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
Candidates must have a clean driving record and pass a criminal background check.
Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules and regulations not necessary, but are beneficial.
