Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all regulations. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle and operate independently, providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, van trailers and power only.
- Execute timely deliveries and pickups according to assigned routes.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in route driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
- Ability to load and unload cargo efficiently, driver assist on majority of deliveries (we haul windows for a local mfg and they require a scan of each items bar code)
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a larger team when necessary.
