JOB TITLE: Wire Assembly Operator
SUMMARY: Responsible for wiring electrical equipment. Use instructions and wiring diagrams to aid in wiring panels
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
- Accurately follow layout dimensioning and specifications when applicable
- Physical mounting of components with appropriate hardware
- Assemble and wire electrical components according to provided point-to-point wiring diagram
- Neatly routing and bundling wires/cables
- Use hand tools to crimp, cut and strip wires
- Complete other duties, as assigned by the supervisor
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1-3 years wiring experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be proactive and possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must be able to read, write and follow instructions
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Continually required to stand, walk, squat, bend, read, talk and hear
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Required to climb ladder or step stool
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
