Summary
We are seeking an Assembly Specialist to join our dynamic team at Kelox Railway In this role, you will be integral to the assembly process of railway interior components, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to deliver exceptional service in the railway sector.
Responsibilities
Assembly:
- Assemble floor panels following technical instructions and blueprints
- Ensure that the components that you receive from the warehouse to carry out your work meet the quality requirements and that they do not have any flaws or visible defects
- Produce stainless steel cabinets by assembling parts and subassemblies (including parts, wires, hoses, and plumbing)
- Troubleshoot faulty refrigeration cabinets to find resolution for error(s)
- Perform proper brazing where applicable on refrigeration units
- Assemble units following technical instructions, 3D models, blueprints and technical procedures
- Operate machinery and power tooling correctly and maintain it with care
- Utilize tools such as wrenches, pliers, power tools as well as measuring tools as required
- Test finished products for defects
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Daily cleaning up of your workstation and assistance in keeping the production facility clean and in order
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and approve incoming goods by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
- Manage non-conformance process each time a non-conformity is detected on products and perform containment actions and root cause analysis
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs
- Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Technical Certification preferred
- 2 years of prior assembly experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments preferred
- Refrigeration systems knowledge and welding/brazing experience preferred
- Ability to travel out of state to customer facility up to multiple times per month.
- Able to lift 50 pounds without restrictions
- Able to stand most of the shift
