R&M Technician (Washer) – Houston, TX | $22 /hr (DOE)
Join our team as an R&M Technician (Washer), and play a key part in preparing, cleaning, and maintaining cutting-edge drilling equipment. This entry-level position is perfect for those with hands-on mechanical skills and the ambition to advance in a workshop environment.
What you’ll do:
- Clean, prep, and inspect equipment used in oil & gas drilling operations
- Assist with assembling/disassembling tools and support repairs
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and handle materials safely
- Record tool activity, monitor spares, and support daily workshop functions
- Maintain a safe and organized work space
Requirements:
- 2 years in manufacturing, repair, maintenance, or mechanical environments
- High school diploma/GED
- Basic computer and technical skills
- Familiarity with workshop equipment (forklift, cranes)
- Excellent teamwork and organizational abilities
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
Nice to have:
- Experience with MPD/BOP equipment or in the energy sector
- Forklift/crane certifications
- Knowledge of rigging/IPC certification
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6am–2:30pm (possible OT/on call)
