Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – GenAI

Job Summary

Our client, a leading global organization, is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – GenAI to join their team! This is a 7-month contract opportunity located in Wayzata, MN, with a hybrid schedule requiring onsite work approximately two days per week.This engineer will join a GenAI Discovery and Prototyping team supporting a major platform upgrade connecting enterprise data pipelines, large language models (LLMs), and rapid application prototypes. The role combines C# back-end engineering, React/TypeScript front-end development, Microsoft Azure, and hands-on GenAI/LLM integration.


Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack application features using C# for back-end services and React/TypeScript for front-end interfaces 
• Integrate enterprise data sources and LLMs into application prototypes and production workflows 
• Build reliable processes for validating, parsing, and handling structured LLM outputs 
• Apply modern AI integration concepts, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and skills-based software integrations 
• Deploy applications through automated CI/CD pipelines within Microsoft Azure 
• Collaborate with platform and security teams to troubleshoot applications within secure enterprise environments 
• Support modernization of legacy architectures toward twelve-factor, cloud-native application designs 
  

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 7 years of professional software engineering experience in enterprise or fast-paced product environments 
• Advanced C# back-end development experience building scalable web services 
• Strong React and TypeScript front-end development experience 
• Hands-on production experience integrating GenAI/LLMs into applications or data processing pipelines 
• Microsoft Azure experience, including Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience with cloud-native application concepts, container workflows, monitoring, and logging 
• Experience operating across Dev, QA, Staging, and Production environments within complex enterprise architectures 
  

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience working in multi-cloud environments, including AWS exposure and AWS EKS 
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar modern AI integration approaches 
• Experience modernizing legacy application architectures or supporting major platform migrations 
• Familiarity with enterprise AI security, governance frameworks, and data privacy controls 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) 
• Experience with animal nutrition, complex dietary software, or large-scale formulation platforms

Work Environment

• Location: Wayzata, MN 
• Hybrid: Approximately 2 days onsite per week, typically Tuesdays and Thursdays 
• Contract Duration: 7 months 
• This position is not available as fully remote 
  

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $51.00 and $73.80 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
