Yard Hostler Duties
- Yard hostlers will drive and maneuver yard goat & trailers from dock to dock switching out empty trailers with full trailers to keep production moving.
- Safety is always the key, so drivers must be safety minded, perform pre and post trips daily, chock rear wheels and be aware of safety hazards in all weather conditions.
- Yard hostlers will check trailers before pulling away from the dock doors.
- MUST BE ABLE TO MANEUVER IN TIGHT SPACES
- Driver must have strong communication skills as they will be interacting and taking directions from dispatchers or warehouse managers.
