Kelly Services is seeking a Senior HR Generalist – Labor Relations to support a busy unionized manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI.
This is a hands-on HR role for an experienced professional who is comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, site leadership, and union representatives. The ideal candidate will have strong labor relations, employee relations, investigations, grievance handling, and HR compliance experience.

Kelly Services is seeking a Senior HR Generalist – Labor Relations to support a busy unionized manufacturing facility in Eau Claire, WI.
This is a hands-on HR role for an experienced professional who is comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, site leadership, and union representatives. The ideal candidate will have strong labor relations, employee relations, investigations, grievance handling, and HR compliance experience.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary HR partner for the facility and support both hourly and salaried employees.
- Interpret and administer the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and assist with grievances and labor-management issues.
- Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, attendance, and workplace conflicts.
- Conduct thorough and confidential investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, labor laws, policies, and effective employee communication.
- Support onboarding, employee changes, transfers, promotions, separations, HRIS administration, and employee records.
- Partner with leadership on staffing, workforce planning, employee engagement, retention, and training.
- Support compliance with employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, workers' compensation, and wage and hour requirements.
- Participate in labor-management meetings and provide support for negotiations, arbitrations, and other labor-related matters.
- Track HR metrics and identify trends involving turnover, absenteeism, employee relations, and workforce needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Labor Relations, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting a unionized manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong experience with labor relations, employee investigations, grievances, and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and employment law.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is a plus.
