Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile software development teams by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, promoting Agile best practices, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will serve as a servant leader, helping teams maximize productivity, remove impediments, and deliver high-quality solutions while fostering a collaborative and Agile-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Guide and coach Agile teams on Scrum principles, Agile methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Partner with Product Owners, Development Teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, goals, and deliverables.
- Remove impediments and proactively address issues that may impact team productivity or delivery timelines.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and self-organization within Agile teams.
- Monitor team performance and Agile metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
- Support backlog refinement activities and help ensure work items are appropriately prioritized and prepared for upcoming sprints.
- Utilize Jira to manage Agile workflows, track progress, maintain dashboards, and generate project reporting.
- Promote adherence to Agile frameworks and organizational delivery standards.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project transparency and successful execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage the adoption of Agile best practices across teams.
- Support release planning, dependency management, and cross-team coordination as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master for software development teams.
- Expert-level understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and related frameworks.
- Extensive hands-on experience using Jira for Agile project management and team tracking.
- Proven experience coaching teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience supporting multiple Agile teams in a complex technology environment.
- Familiarity with Agile reporting, metrics, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders.
