Supplier Quality Inspector / Expeditor – Fluids & Mechanical Systems

We’re hiring a Supplier Quality Inspector / Expeditor to support key manufacturing partners in Fort Collins and Pueblo, CO. This role focuses on fluid systems and mechanical components used in power-generation equipment, ensuring they’re built to spec and delivered on time.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll spend most of your time on the shop floor at supplier facilities, monitoring both quality and schedule for fluids and mechanical commodities, such as:
- Pumps, valves, piping, manifolds, and skid-mounted fluid systems
- Mechanical assemblies, frames, supports, rotating equipment, and structural components
Key responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections on fluid and mechanical equipment
- Verify builds against drawings, specifications, and inspection & test plans (ITPs)
- Monitor manufacturing progress to help ensure on-time delivery of purchase orders
- Identify quality issues, support root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions with suppliers
- Witness or review critical processes (fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, pressure/leak testing, etc.)
- Document findings, track punch-list items, and escalate risks to quality or schedule as needed
- Provide clear, regular status updates to internal quality and sourcing teams
Travel & Schedule
This is a field-based, regional role with regular travel between supplier locations in:
- Fort Collins, CO
- Pueblo, CO
How travel works:
- You’ll review PO and manufacturing updates to plan your visits, typically with 2–3 months of visibility.
- You’ll be autonomous in organizing your travel and calendar, aligning site visits with each vendor’s production schedule and key milestones.
Pay & Benefits

What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Hands-on experience with fluid systems and/or mechanical assemblies
- Examples: pumps, valves, skid systems, piping, manifolds, rotating equipment, structural/mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
Preferred:
- Background in supplier quality, inspection, or expediting
- Experience with power-generation or heavy industrial equipment
- Familiarity with quality tools (non-conformances, corrective actions, structured problem-solving, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with vendor teams on the shop floor
- Self-starter who can independently plan site visits, prioritize work, and follow through on issues
