You’ll Be
- Performing tasks in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase
- Ensuring aircraft parts, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations are built to type design data
- Working in a team-oriented environment to meet efficiency and timeliness goals
- Conducting inspections using engineering drawings, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures, and other related documents
- Performing preliminary, progressive, and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems
- Inspecting for FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and verifying paperwork
- Witnessing, verifying, and documenting specified manufacturing process steps
- Performing conformity/first article inspections to ensure FAA compliance
- Ensuring proper use and storage of area tools and equipment
- Participating in safety-related event investigations and immediately reporting hazards
- Providing technical support to manufacturing personnel
- Participating in continuous improvement activities (e.g., Lean, Kaizen)
- Performing other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience required
- 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace experience preferred
- Completion of Other Formal Inspection Training Program (90 days) required
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics
- Ability to read and interpret CATIA models or blueprints
- Competency in the use of basic shop tools and equipment
- Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Weekend Dayshift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Employment: 12-month contract
