Position Overview
As our Purchasing Clerk, you’ll help manage supplies, coordinate with vendors, and ensure our teams have everything they need to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory and stock supplies in laboratory, office, maintenance, and shipping/receiving stockrooms
- Monitor supply levels, track expiration dates, and rotate inventory as needed
- Process supply requests and issue purchase orders to vendors
- Maintain accurate inventory records in VWR Inventory Manager
- Coordinate vendor setup in Salesforce and QuickBooks
- Review vendor pricing and performance to support cost-effective purchasing
- Communicate with internal teams to ensure supply needs are met
- Participate in Business Operations meetings and support cross-team collaboration
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous purchasing, inventory, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with inventory or purchasing systems is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
