About The Role
Leica Microsystems is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Planning Analyst to join our team in Deerfield, IL. The successful candidate will play a critical part in supporting our key business areas and partnering with sales, finance, and HR teams. This role is essential for building robust financial models, generating analytical reports, and ensuring best practices in our financial planning processes.

About The Role
Leica Microsystems is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Planning Analyst to join our team in Deerfield, IL. The successful candidate will play a critical part in supporting our key business areas and partnering with sales, finance, and HR teams. This role is essential for building robust financial models, generating analytical reports, and ensuring best practices in our financial planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire Sales Commission process—including monthly accruals, calculations, and analysis for supported business units
- Collaborate with internal business partners to create finance reports that assist leadership in effective decision-making
- Prepare and analyze sales and margin data, as well as annual cost center budgets
- Evaluate income statement forecasts and explain budget deviations to help the business area meet corporate targets
- Participate in Revenue Recognition testing and provide audit support for SOX and financial compliance
- Fast learner with strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate complex numerical information clearly to team members and leadership
- Experience building and improving Excel workbooks and planning processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Prior experience in sales commission processes is a plus
- Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour
- Must successfully pass background checks, including criminal history, drug testing, education, and previous employment verification
