Drug Safety Specialist
Location: Near Boston, MA or Fort Worth, TX
Pay: $50/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote
Employment Type: 6-month contract
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Drug Safety Specialist to support adverse event case management and regulatory safety reporting. This role is a strong fit for someone with pharmacovigilance experience who can manage case review, follow-up, and reporting activities in a regulated environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review incoming communications to identify potential adverse event reports
- Evaluate cases for seriousness and determine reporting requirements
- Follow up to obtain missing information needed for case processing
- Compile and support submission of serious and periodic reports to FDA and Health Canada
- Maintain case tracking, documentation, and safety records
- Assist with audits, inspections, and adverse event trending activities
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, science, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, drug safety, or clinical trial support
- Knowledge of FDA and Health Canada post-market safety reporting guidelines
- Experience with ARGUS or a similar drug safety database
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
