What You’ll Do
- Claims Processing: Perform all electronic imaging of claims, including OCR, Non-OCR, x-ray attachments, and various paper documents.
- Data Entry & Verification: Input and verify required documentation for all claim types and handle rejected/RFI claim notices.
- Process Multiple Claim Levels: Manage single, COB-S, dual, pre-authorizations, out-of-state claims, and process requests for pre-authorizations.
- Collaboration: Assist Claims and Customer Service departments, support special projects, and contribute as a team player.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/PHI, adhere to policies and quality standards, and provide accurate, timely claims processing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2 years of clerical, customer service, or related experience (or any combination of education/experience that meets qualifications)
- Experience in high-volume processing or medical/dental claims highly desirable
- Familiarity with PC applications (word processing, spreadsheets) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
