We are seeking an AML Analyst with strong SAR writing and financial investigations experience to support the review and investigation of potentially suspicious client activity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing AML investigations from case initiation through completion, analyzing transaction activity, conducting research, and preparing high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

Duration: 04 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Responsibilities
- Review system-generated and manually referred cases for potentially suspicious activity and manage investigations from beginning to completion.
- Conduct detailed research using internal bank systems, databases, online resources, and other available sources.
- Analyze financial statements, transaction data, account activity, and supporting documentation to identify unusual or suspicious patterns.
- Perform follow-up with relevant Points of Contact and business partners to obtain additional information required to complete investigations.
- Document investigation steps, research, analysis, and findings accurately within the Case Management System.
- Prepare and write Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and AML procedures.
- Make recommendations regarding relationship retention or termination and track account closures as required.
- Prepare complete case files, including supporting documentation, research results, and investigation findings.
- Collaborate with CRIU, ACRM, Business, CSIS, Legal, Trade Surveillance, FIU, and Law Enforcement teams as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–5 years of AML, financial crime, or investigative experience, including reviewing customer transactions and identifying potentially suspicious activity.
- Hands-on SAR writing experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of AML investigations, transaction monitoring, and applicable regulatory requirements, including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, FinCEN, and SAR requirements.
- CAMS certification is a plus.
- Experience with Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Money Service Businesses, or Senior Public Figure reviews is preferred.
- Strong research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple investigations and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
