Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer I provides product installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance services on medical and industrial equipment at customer locations.
This is an entry-level opportunity. Training will be provided to qualified candidates who demonstrate strong technical aptitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check and meeting applicable customer-site access requirements.

Essential Functions
- Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair assigned medical and industrial equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in the field.
- Service electro-mechanical products at customer locations.
- Work with compliant wiring harnesses and sensitive electronic components.
- Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management.
- Follow company, customer-site, safety, and quality procedures.
- Travel extensively, potentially up to 80% or more, based on business and customer requirements.
- Experience servicing electro-mechanical products preferred.
- Experience working with compliant wiring harnesses and sensitive electronic components preferred.
- Familiarity with common field service tools, including vacuum/pressure meters, frequency counters, and digital multimeters.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and service documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while remaining an effective member of a service team.
- Willingness and ability to learn new equipment, technologies, and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of field service and/or electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with relevant education, technical training, hands-on experience, or demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- This position requires frequent travel, potentially up to 80% or more.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation for field-based work.
- Candidates must be able to rent a vehicle and meet standard rental-car requirements when business travel requires it.
- Approved car rental, mileage, lodging, airfare, and other business travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with standard travel and expense policies.
- A company credit card will be provided for approved business-related travel and expenses.
- The ability to travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, is required.
