This client is an industry-leading company in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutritional space, focused on delivering high-quality, microbiologically safe products to global markets.
In this role, you will be part of the Microbiology department and perform essential microbiological testing on raw materials, water samples, and finished products. You'll investigate the behavior of microorganisms and support safety and regulatory compliance by performing industry-standard procedures and methods.

In this role, you will be part of the Microbiology department and perform essential microbiological testing on raw materials, water samples, and finished products. You'll investigate the behavior of microorganisms and support safety and regulatory compliance by performing industry-standard procedures and methods.
Responsibilities
- Study the growth, characteristics, and effects of microorganisms to better understand their impact on human, plant, and animal health.
- Perform microbiological testing including Total Plate Count (TPC), Enrichments, Preservative Effectiveness Testing (PET), and yeast and mold detection.
- Execute and troubleshoot API strip tests and cross-contamination concerns.
- Adapt and apply procedures from CTFA/PCPC, AOAC, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Test raw materials, bulk products, and water samples according to established protocols.
- May assist in overseeing work performed by Microbiology Technicians.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Micro Lab Supervisor.
- B.S. in Microbiology required.
- At least 2 years of microbiological testing experience in the cosmetic, nutritional, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Knowledge of CTFA/PCPC, AOAC, and major pharmacopeias (USP, EP, JP).
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and nutritional microbiological standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, process-improvement driven environment.
