Kelly Engineering is hiring for a Metrology Engineer role with a renowned Medical Device company in the St. Louis, MO area. This Quality Engineer will develop and establish inspection and measurement methodologies for components and subassemblies. The role is a 6-month contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, establish and qualify methodologies for mechanical inspection methods including creation of necessary inspection procedures.
- Create set-up fixtures and programs for automated/non-contact inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, SmartScope, etc.).
- Coordinate and perform Measurement System Analysis as required.
- Perform routine inspections as required.
- Support engineering as a GD&T subject matter expert.
- Participate in supplier qualification activities.
- Work within cross-function groups to implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Related Science Field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in the mechanical inspection field and automated inspection equipment in a regulated industry.
- Knowledgeable of ANSI Y14.5 and geometric tolerancing techniques.
